ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
We didn’t always live healthy. We drank Mountain Dew and consumed way too much sugar (and probably still do!). We turned to conventional medicine to solve all of our problems (but found it couldn't!). Dr. Sue struggled with multiple miscarriages and Angelle suffered from depression and severe PMS. Individually we found answers to our health problems by changing our diets and using holistic medicine. When each of us became moms and held our new babies, like every mom, we realized the most important thing in life is a happy healthy child. Years later our paths crossed. We were each supporting moms and helping children heal, but realized we needed to reach more moms for more children to live happier healthier lives and so NourishMD.com was born

SUSAN MCCREADIE, as a board certified pediatrician specializing in holistic medicine, my vision is to heal children with any illness, naturally. During my training as a medical doctor and pediatrician, I witnessed many children benefiting from the advancement of western medicine; however I also realized that many children’s health care issues go beyond the traditional medical paradigm. After completing my chief resident year in pediatrics, I started Pediatric Holistic Medicine, PLC. I continue to learn daily how to help myself and others heal; it’s a journey and lifelong passion, and I love every minute of it.

ANGELLE BATTEN holds a B.A. from the University of Detroit in Elementary Education and an MEd. from Wayne State University in Education Administration. She is also certified as a Holistic Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, which is a state-licensed nutrition school in New York City. The most important thing for parents is to raise healthy, happy children, but they don't know how to get there. As a health coach, Angelle walks parents through an increasingly challenging and confusing path to create health and happiness for their families.

ABOUT NOURISHMD.COM
“We are what we eat!” We’ve all heard that before. Instead we say, “We are what we consume.” Whether that be from the food and drink we digest, the air we breathe, or the products we put on our skin - it all makes up who we are. In today’s world, we are bombarded with toxins to process, from food, water, air, and all the products we use (soap, shampoo, cleaners, sunscreen, bug spray). The list is endless. Our goal is to reduce our family’s toxic burden. How? By eating REAL organic and local food, drinking purified water, and reducing our exposure to toxins. That’s a tall order, but we believe it is necessary to maintain optimal health.

We created NourishMD.com to educate and inspire moms to feed their children REAL food for health and to empower moms to find natural solutions for their children with medical, emotional, and/or learning difficulties. As a holistic pediatrician and a holistic health counselor/elementary teacher, we are passionate about creating healthier, happier lives for all children. As trained healthcare professionals, we bring our collective knowledge and expertise to the NourishMD.com community. As moms ourselves, we bring our far-from-perfect REAL life experience as well. Together we strive to create a vision of how to raise and heal children naturally, and in doing so help ourselves and other moms realize we can incorporate REAL food and healthy living into our busy lifestyles everyday.

  7. I loved your interview with @nourishMD. I have to admit, I am not one to graze but that makes sense to me. They have kids do it at school with snacks. Now I just have to make the time to cut up veggies!
